• Vaccine Requirement: All persons over the age of 12 entering the Town of New Tecumseth recreation facilities will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with Government issued ID.
QR Code Document: As of January 4th,2022 a QR Code Provincial vaccine document will be the only accepted form of proof of vaccination to enter a recreation facility.




• Identification Requirements: Those 18+ must show original ID (digital version not accepted). All persons 12 to 17 years of age can provide a digital form of identification (photo / scan). School ID is permitted if the name and birthdate of the individual is noted on the ID.
• Children who are under 12 years of age will be exempt from providing proof of vaccination.

• Effective January 1, 2022, all children have a grace period of 12 weeks from their 12th birthday during which they provide identification at the point of entry, but do not need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This is to allow a reasonable opportunity for vaccination to be completed, and to accommodate the current recommended 8-week interval between dose 1 and dose 2.
• A parent or guardian accompanying a child under the age of 12 must meet vaccination requirements to attend.
• Medical exemptions must be supported with an official Doctor’s note that meets the provincial requirements and must be shown prior to each visit along with ID. As of January 4th,2022 a QR Code vaccine document must be provided for all medical exemptions along with proper ID.
• Masks: All individuals 2 years and older must wear a mask or face covering when indoors. Masks may only be removed for those entering the sporting surface for the purpose of exerting energy.
• Physical Distancing: Physical distancing must be maintained at all times.
• Contact Tracing / Screening: All persons entering the facility must sign in at the front entrance to screen and contact trace and provide proof of vaccination. The Town will retain contact tracing / screening information for a minimum of 30 days as per health unit requirements.
• Safety Plans: Leagues, organizations and repetitive bookings are required to submit a Covid-19 Safety Plan prior to facility use.
• Game Capacity Limits: Indoor sports are permitted, including games / scrimmages and development, with no specified limit on number of people participating in a sports team or league.
• Game Play: No restrictions on contact for sports or games; 2 meters physical distancing required when not engaged in the sport.
• Player Entrance time: Participants and parents /guardians assisting youth may enter the facility no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the booking time.
• Visitor Entrance time: Spectator and visitors may enter the facility no earlier than 15 minutes before the booking time and must vacate the facility immediately following the booking end time.
• Parent / Guardian Responsibility: Children are to be supervised by a parent / guardian when visiting any Town of New Tecumseth recreation facility.
• Facility Capacity Limits: For physical distancing to be maintained at all times, indoor capacity limits have been set based on 50% capacity or less.
• Capacity Limit Restrictions: Should the permit holder expect higher spectator numbers please ensure you set your own limits for spectators to adhered to the specific seating capacities. (Example: 1 participant, 2 spectators). 
Beeton arena capacity limit is now 90 including arena, rink and spectators
•Changerooms: Maximum 2 changerooms will be allocated per booking. Games included.
• Entrance to changerooms is 30 minutes prior to booking time. Participants must vacate the changeroom no later than 20 minutes after the booking to maintain cleaning schedules.
• Due to the BMA changerooms limited capacity there is a lower number of participants permitted at one time in each room. Please follow the capacities listed on the specific changeroom doors.
• Beeton Memorial Arena youth participants are recommended to arrive dressed and ready to play or for permit holders to organize and stagger the participants changeroom use.
• It is the responsibility of the permit holder / designate to ensure the capacity limits are adhered to.
• Changing in the hallway is not permitted. Equipment bags are to be kept in changerooms only, not in the hallway.
• Extra chairs will be available in the facility hallways for tying skates and putting on helmets and gloves.
