Updated Covid-19 Protocols for Beeton Arena
Please see updates below for entering the Beeton Arena:
Currently there is NO CHANGE to the Town of New Tecumseth process. We are sharing this information to explain the change of showing ID when entering a recreation facility in Simcoe Muskoka. The Town continues to adhere to the guidelines for all those over the age of 12 must show proof of being double vaccinated along with their ID to enter our recreation facilities.
Updates: 18+ Digital ID (no longer accepted) – This is effective immediately. The Health Unit will no longer allow us to accept digital forms/pictures of ID for individuals 18+. Patrons will need to show us the original document.
Please let your organization/parents/volunteers/visiting teams know they will need to be prepared to show us an original copy of ID.
High school provided ID card – this is an acceptable form of ID, AS LONG AS it has the students name and date of birth on it. If it doesn’t have the date of birth then we don’t accept it.
Update for those turning 12 in 2022: Effective January 1, 2022, implement and enforce a policy that provides that all children have a grace period of 12 weeks from their 12th birthday during which they provide identification at the point of entry, but do not need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This is to allow a reasonable opportunity for vaccination to be completed, and to accommodate the current recommended 8-week interval between dose 1 and dose 2. This article has been viewed 726 times.
