Beeton Arena and New Tecumseth Protocols
Arena rules/game and practice protocols
-There is a designated person for each team that will sign you and your player in. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 please do not attend any town facilities.
- ONE Parent per player only, allowed in new Tecumseth arenas. No siblings, friends, or extended family allowed at this time, no exceptions.
- Teams are to line up outside arena doors and meet with their coach 15 minutes prior to game practice start and enter as a team. Please have players come dressed in hockey equipment so that hey have enough time to get ready, tie skates/helmet etc.
-U13 and under teams, can have parent accompany them to help with skates if needed, we ask that you do not loiter in hallways afterward. Proceed to cold part of arena for spectators. You can also help your child with taking skates off, but please do so quickly and undress the rest at home.
-U15 & U18 teams can enter with their coaches and get skates on in the dressing rooms. Please remind players to wear masks until helmets go on and when helmets come off while inside the arena and maintain distance of 6 feet as much as possible.
-Parents should enter the arena at the start of game time. There is no viewing from the lobby in the Beeton Arena to limit exposure of COVID-19 as it is a high traffic area. Please go straight to the stands to watch the game.
Please keep in mind that we are very privileged to be able to have our children play the game of hockey, please discuss with them the importance of these guidelines so that we can continue to participate as long as we can. Please also do not give arena staff, coaches or executive any unnecessary grief over the rules, we are all trying to make this as comfortable and enjoyable for everyone for as long as we can. I’m certain that together we can all continue to enjoy our modified hockey season.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding through these unprecedented times.
