Important Information about Rowan's Law
Rowan's Law is
designed to protect young athletes and educate coaches about the dangers of
head injuries. This legislation came into effect July, 1st 2019 and
will impact all Beeton Minor Hockey players, coaches and parents this
season. The OHF requires all Beeton Minor Hockey players, coaches and
parents to verify they have received and reviewed the OHF Concussion Code of
Conduct and the Concussion Awareness Resources provided by the Government of
Ontario.
The Ontario Government has made it mandatory that players, parents and coaching staff review concussion awareness at www.ontario.ca/concussions BEFORE they can be rostered to a team. The BAA must keep the signed form on file. You will be required to complete this review for all sports your children play, so it is advised that you keep a copy. There must be a signed form for each child.
