Peewee #1 Win Championship in Lefroy
Submitted By Webmaster on Mon 01 08, 18
Peewee #1 played an outstanding performance at the Lefroy Tournament Dec.15-17th weekend, coming home with the cup! Thanks to all the parents for making it possible on such short notice so the kids could play in another tournament!!! All their hard work really paid off in the end, winning the championship game with 7 skaters! Way to go Stingers!!!

The first game Friday they played Ottawa Dark Knights winning 4-2. Game 2 was against Innisfil and they dominated the game winning 6-2. Saturday they played Barrie Knights claiming another victory with a score of 5-1. Sunday morning semi-finals were bright and early! With our Stingers not quite awake, we ended in a tie 1-1 against Richmond Hill, going into 2 overtimes, Waylon finally scored the winning goal with 0.1 seconds left!!! Thank goodness because our parents couldn't handle much more! The Championship game was against Oro, and the Stingers were short on players for this game so the pressure was on.....with 7 skaters there wasn't much time to rest, but that didn't stop them or slow them down. Owen and Steven each scored 2 goals, giving Charlie a shut out and winning the game 4-0! You rock Stingers!
